Whole Foods 5% Giving Day & Master Gardener Info Tables

Grocery shopping is even better when it benefits El Paso County Master Gardeners!

On Thursday, April 18th, Whole Foods Market in El Paso will donate 5% of the day’s sales to support El Paso County Master Gardeners. The funds raised by the Whole Foods Market 5% Community Giving Day Program will be donated to help with the building of a pergola at our Ascarate Teaching and Demonstration Garden.

We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Whole Foods Market for their upcoming 5% Community Giving Day on Thursday, April 18th. As a member of their Community Health Eating Initiative we are eligible to receive the funds raised on this special shopping day. Whole Foods Market 5% Community Giving Day takes place four times per year to help raise funds for a non-profit organization in their communities.

El Paso County Master Gardener Information Tables

While you’re shopping look for our El Paso Master Gardener Information Tables in the store. We’ll have two Information Tables staffed with knowledgeable Master Gardeners ready to answer your garden and landscape questions. You find them during these hours: 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service training provides El Paso Master Gardeners with research-based horticulture information and resources to enhance our wide range of gardening experiences in the El Paso. We share that knowledge with members of the community who visit our Information Tables at many public events throughout the year. Our Information Tables are also stocked with a wealth of free publications on topics ranging from composting to growing roses or tomatoes, and landscape planning and design.

Fill your grocery cart at Whole Foods Market to fulfill a need in your local community. While you’re there, visit our Information Tables to learn from our Master Gardeners. You can ask about landscapes and gardening in El Paso, environmentally friendly methods to control plant disease and pests, and about the Master Gardener Program.
