On Saturday mornings join El Paso County Extension Horticultural Agent Denise Rodriguez and Master Gardener Jan Petrzelka on the Good to Grow radio show at 11:15 a.m. at KTEP, 88.5 FM. They share gardening tips for our desert climate and cover a wide variety of topics ranging from plant care for vegetables, container plants or ornamentals to what’s happening in the El Paso gardening world like Master Gardener events, classes and tours.

Often guests are featured such as local horticultural professionals and El Paso Master Gardeners who are active in specific projects like our teaching and demonstration vegetable gardens and the El Paso Municipal Rose Garden. Interviews with Texas Master Gardener Specialists on topics such as composting, rainwater harvesting or propagation may also be broadcast. Additionally, questions answered by the Master Gardeners’ Help Desk are discussed.

Good to Grow won a 1st place award at the annual Texas Master Gardener Conference in 2010.

KTEP, 88.5 FM, radio programs are archived. Good to Grow may be streamed from the show website.
