Water Conservation with Drip Irrigation Basics

This class might be called Irrigation 101. Attendees will learn the basic principles of home irrigation systems and automatic timer systems. Approaches to basic repairs will be discussed and there will be a demonstration of a home irrigation system setup using a sample model.

El Paso County Master Gardener Presenters

Since 2017, Ignacio Muñoz has been a member of El Paso County Master Gardeners (part of Texas Master Gardeners). He’s serving his third year as the association president and has also served as the vice president. Ignacio obtained advanced training to become a Greenhouse Specialist. He also teaches in our EPCC classes covering vegetable and backyard gardening.

 

 

 

Photo of Master Gardener Rex MorrisRex Morris has been a member of El Paso County Master Gardeners (part of Texas Master Gardeners) for the past 20 years. He was a past vice president of the association.

Rex earned a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Iowa State University in 1977 and went to work in UNOCAL’s (Union Oil Company of California) Analytical Laboratories. UNOCAL’s Union Chemicals Division manufactured agricultural products and it was here that he became familiar with agricultural products and applications. After UNOCAL, Rex worked in an environmental lab and finished his career repairing and maintaining scientific instrumentation.

Rex maintains additional memberships in the Native Plant Society of New Mexico-El Paso Chapter and the El Paso Cactus and Rock Club.
