The Youth Outreach Committee of El Paso Master Gardeners is working with The Amigos Garden of the Mustard Seed Cafe, along with many other vendors, to showcase their garden and educate about gardening, bees, and more. We will be there on Saturday, October 21st from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We will have a table to share the following:
- Education on pomegranates – The seeds are called arils. Pomegranates are tasty, healthy and grow well in El Paso. Learn more at the garden.
- Tasting pomegranates – We will be tasting the seeds and evaluating sweetness, tartness, and more
- Drawing pomegranates – We will have crayons and markers and a sample to see what a pomegranate looks like inside and out.
See the Mustard Seed Flyer below for more information on this event.
