El Paso Water and El Paso Master Gardeners have created a series of Water Conservation workshops we’ve nicknamed our GROWS talks. GROWS is an acronym for Gardening Resources Outreach Workshops and Seminars.  We provide a variety of research-based resources for creating healthy, water-conserving gardens.
GROWS flyer Oct 14Are colorful gardens possible in the arid desert landscape? Come learn how to use native plants to build a garden of your dreams. Find out which plants do well in our high, arid Chihuahuan Desert and when to plant them. Planting native plants naturally conserves water and will help you save money. Join us and discover how to combine different design principles when planning a garden that you will love.
Tour UTEP’s Centennial Museum and its spectacular Chihuahuan Desert Gardens to see how beautiful a xeriscaped garden can be. Bring your camera! There is always something in bloom. Eduardo Rascon, County Extension Agent-Horticulture, will share latest best practices, tips, and resources to help you bring colorful native plants into the yard of your dreams.
Please register for this workshop at Eventbrite so we’ll know how many to expect:
