Legend of Poinsettia

This Month’s Story Time Book

Join us on December 4th when El Paso Master Gardener Keith Quinonez will read The Legend of the Poinsettia to his online audience (Zoom link is below). The book shares the Mexican legend of how the Christmas-blooming poinsettia came to be through a little girl’s unselfish gift to the Christ Child. Honor-winning author and illustrator Tomie dePaola’s infuses the story with his own special feeling for Christmas and the illustrations give an enchanting look at Lucida’s life in Mexico as she and the children prepare for Christmas.
