El Paso Master Gardeners and Interns staff an Information Booth at the Farmers’ Market at Ardovino’s Desert Crossing to answer questions from the public and to distribute educational materials. During the market, held on Saturday mornings from Memorial Day Weekend until late summer, we often present thirty-minute “Garden Talks” on the upper patio which cover a variety of topics of interest to gardeners in El Paso and Southern New Mexico.
In addition to the usual wide-range of materials available on many gardening topics, our “Tidbits at the Booth” targeted materials will provide additional information related to the “Garden Talks” such as handouts, monthly tips and recipes.
Certified Master Gardeners and Interns assist the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service to educate the public and share informative materials on pest control, landscape planning and design, tomatoes, rose care and more. As produce becomes available in our Texas A&M AgriLife Vegetable Demonstration Gardens, we offer tomatoes, peppers, eggplants and other vegetables for sale to the public.
