Rainwater Harvesting Hands-On Workshop

Interested in rainwater harvesting? The City is holding a workshop on May 25th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Rae Gilmore Recreation Center in northeast El Paso! This is a combination “learn and volunteer” workshop where you will learn about active and passive rainwater harvesting plus will help in the tasks needed for the recreation center’s rainwater harvesting demonstration project. See the insert below for more information.
El Paso Master Gardener and Rainwater Harvesting Specialist Doc Stalker will be demonstrating how to build a rain barrel. Four 32-gallon rain barrels will be on hand to give away to four lucky volunteers who come help us build the garden beds and the bioswale. Maybe one will go to you!
