Plant questions? El Paso Master Gardeners have the answers. You’ll find us at an Information Table at El Paso’s Party for the Planet & Earth Day Celebration at the El Paso Zoo.
This year Earth Day is being honored with an afternoon of fun dedicated to our beautiful planet Earth. Organizers of this celebration are The City of El Paso, The El Paso Zoo, and the Environmental Services Department.
Visit with educational partners, like the El Paso Master Gardeners, participate in crafts and games, watch some great entertainment, and perhaps watch your favorite animals do their part in preserving nature’s resources.
El Paso County Master Gardeners’ Information Table will be one of the featured educational resources at the Party for the Planet. Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service training provides El Paso Master Gardeners with research-based horticultural information and resources to enhance our wide range of gardening experiences in El Paso. We share that knowledge with members of the community who visit our Information Tables at many public events throughout the year.
The Information Tables are stocked with a wealth of free publications on topics ranging from composting to growing roses or tomatoes to landscape planning and design. You can also learn about the Master Gardener Volunteer Program.
There will be 6 informational booths throughout the El Paso Zoo parking lot to visit without admission. If you’d like to receive a $2 off discount for admission, visit all 6 booths to get your discount validated. The event inside the El Paso Zoo is included with price of admission or zoo membership.
Join us April 22nd from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the El Paso Zoo!
