Genoa Friendship Gardens features unique exhibit gardens illustrating perennials, vegetables, roses, herbs, Xeriscapes, water features, and fruit trees to inspire and educate county residents. Ask a Master Gardener your questions, view our trial garden and purchase plants from the Greenhouse.
Join us for the Dallas County Master Gardener Association 2024 Garden Tour featuring 5 private home gardens and a public demonstration garden, as well as a new concept to the tour this year – two “bonus” pass-by gardens that are just too packed full of native and adaptive botanical marvels to leave out. The East Dallas/Old Lake Highlands area was selected for this year’s tour as a prime location for showcasing the natural beauty of the surrounding areas of Dallas’ “hidden gem,” White Rock Lake. Trained docents and expert speakers will be on hand at each featured garden answering questions and giving advice. Topics will include propagation, native plant selection, gardening with shade, composting and “winged things,” to name a few.
Tickets are available for $18 in advance or $22 at the door.
