Who are the Nueces Master Gardeners?
We are a non-profit volunteer program of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service designed to support the mission of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service by providing horticultural education and training to residents of Nueces County. The Extension Service trains volunteers to educate the community through demonstration gardens and workshops relevant to our unique South Texas environment.
Our mission focuses on educational outreach to the community, sharing research-based, environmentally conservative methods of garden and landscape management, water protection, plant selection and other horticulture issues.
The Nueces Master Gardener program is guided by Nueces County Horticulture Extension Agent Kevin Gibbs and our President Beth Spirko.
The Nueces Master Gardeners invite you to our monthly meetings, held the third Tuesday of every month, at Garden Senior Center, 5325 Greely, Corpus Christi, TX. The general meeting is at 12:30pm and the public is welcome to attend.
At our monthly meetings you will have the opportunity to meet our members and ask any questions you may have about our organization. And there’s always an interesting program being presented by one of our members or a subject matter expert.
