Specialist Training: Earth-Kind™ Research

This is your opportunity to take your support of the exciting national Earth-Kind™ movement to an entirely new level. You will learn how to design, install, evaluate, and record data from cutting-edge Earth-Kind™ research trials. Not only will these trials help advance the science of environmental landscape management, they are also a very attractive addition to any site. Highly qualified instructors will provide advanced training in the classroom as well as actual demonstration of plant evaluation techniques in the field. Field trips to unique research sites will  highlight this training.

Major topics include: Developing Enduring Earth-Kind™ Partnerships, Strong Science Done Beautifully, Experimental Design Made Easy, Site Selection and Space Requirements, Construction of an Earth-Kind™ Research Garden, Signage and Recognition of Partners, Step-By-Step Plant Evaluation and Data Collection, Diagnosis and Rating of Plant Problems Often Encountered During Evaluations, Specifics of How to Install and Manage an Earth-Kind™ Research Trial, Identifying and Correcting Potential Problems in Advance, and The Many Exciting Opportunities in Earth-Kind™ Research.

$200 per person.  This fee covers all instruction, educational materials, two meals and refreshments.

Registration deadline is September 19^th.  Currently there is no limit on the number of master gardeners per county. Master Gardener are required to receive approved from their Agent to attend. Approval can be completed on the application or via email. Online registration is available for your convenience.
