Plant Sale & Education Expo

Updated Plant Sale List:  9-7-22

SJC Master Gardeners (SJCMG) will hold their Fall Plant Sale and Education Expo on Saturday, October 1 at Shepherd Community Center. Members from Polk and San Jacinto Counties have been propagating their own garden favorites throughout the spring and summer so buyers can choose from heirloom, native, and pass-along plants, as popular garden color and specimen plants.

• As of 9-7-22 there will be 170 varieties with nearly 700 plants to choose from
• Most plants will be half-gallon and gallon size, ready for planting in the ground or in larger containers
• Pollinators for bee and butterfly attraction, succulents, flowering shrubs, hardwood seedlings, ferns, perennials, herbs, veggies and much more
• Planting and gardening demonstrations led by Master Gardeners:  Container Gardening, Kokedama, Chiller-Filler-Spiller Baskets, All About Water, and more!
• “Ask a Master Gardener” your tough growing questions – bring bagged problem plants for opinions
• All plants include planting suggestions and light requirements

The Sale and Gardening Demos will be held on the Shepherd Community Center Pavilion, 10251 TX-150, Shepherd, TX, Saturday, October 1 from 8 am to 1 pm. Come early and bring wagons. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted.
