Urban Orchard Series: T-Bud Grafting

Galveston County Master Gardener Hazel Lampton will present a hands-on workshop for T-bud grafting. We will explore methods used on peach, plum, pear, apple and other fruit trees. ***NOTE: Workshop is limited to 20 participants. You must pre-register to participate***

Urban Orchard Series: Wedge Grafting

Galveston County Master Gardeners Hazel Lampton and Debbie Espinosa will discuss the how, when, & why of wedge, whip and tongue, and chip bud method grafting. This hands-on program will give you choices to graft stone fruit, pome evergreen fruit trees. The possibilities are endless when you know how to graft your own fruit trees!

***NOTE: Class is limited to 20 persons participating. You must pre-register in order to attend. Other persons may attend for observation only.***

Urban Orchard Series: Grafting Pecans

Explore the art and science of grafting pecan trees for home orchard improvement. Galveston County AgriLife Extension Horticulturist Stephen Brueggerhoff presents pecan biology, as well as scion varieties for the Texas Gulf Coast. We will host a grafting demonstration using four-flap and bark inlay methods.
