Tree Care During a Drought by Steve Houser
Prolonged drought and heat in Texas can severely impact your trees and can ultimately be detrimental to your landscape plants as well. In this presentation, you will understand the basic impacts of drought and heat on your trees, as well as their natural response. You will also learn how you can best prepare for drought by using tactful techniques and good planning to maintain a sustainable and thriving landscape. Future watering restrictions will require your landscape to be more drought tolerant. Are your trees and landscape ready?”
Steve Houser, Dallas County Master Gardener, Master Naturalist and certified arborist will cover not only how to care for our trees during these rough drought years, but will also give us advice on how to care for our precious trees during this crazy icy and sub-freeze-prone winter! Steve is also involved in projects to preserve our historic trees in our region and will give us insight into this exciting and worthy effort.
This program is FREE and open to the public!
