Herb Series: Crafting with Herbs
Are you interested in crafting with herbs or seeking thoughtful holiday gifts made from natural ingredients? Galveston County Master Gardeners Lynne Slaton and Reagan Mears will be instructing on creating herbal salts, featuring a presentation about Yaupon tea, and including a demonstration on flower pressing as well as constructing a flower press. Participants will engage in hands-on tea blending using black tea, green tea, and a variety of herbs. This session will cover several commonly used herbs for tea blending and include an opportunity to assemble a bouquet garni.

Herb Series: Making Herbal Teas & Tisanes
Galveston County Master Gardeners Donna Merritt and Briana Etie continue the Herb Series with another hands-on workshop using herbs to make herbal tisanes, teas, mocktails, and refreshing drinks. “How-to” demonstrations will be given for lavender lemonade, herbal mocktails and tisanes. For the hands-on portion, participants will have the opportunity to create their own herbal tisane or tea with herbs and teas purchased as well as with herbs grown in the herb beds from our Discovery Garden.

Galveston County Master Gardeners Briana Etie & Nancy Langston-Noh will present hands on demonstrations in propagation techniques and make tussie mussies. They will also share herb uses, preservation techniques and tips for growing herbs in our Gulf Coast Gardens. Registration required.
