Hands on Gardening Class

Don’t miss the newest gardening class sponsored by The People/Plant Connection. The “Hands-
on Gardening Class” will kick off March 28 with Allison Schwarz, Texas A&M Agrilife
Extension Horticulturist, talking about “Spring Vegetable Gardening”. Allison will talk about the
techniques for preparing the soil in your new or established vegetable garden. She will also
discuss the best varieties that grow well in the Concho Valley. A special activity will follow the
class. Attendees will go to the outdoor classroom and prepare a planting tray of vegetable seeds to
take home. You’ll leave with the start of a great vegetable garden. The class is on Thursday,
March 28 from 1-2:30 p.m. It will be held at the Angelo West Branch Library, 2013 Vista del
Arroyo in San Angelo. The cost is $20 per person including supplies for the seed starting tray.
Reservations are requested by Monday, March 18 to assure supplies for the special activity. Space

new garden site.
