How can I become a Master Gardener?

To become a certified Master Gardener, you need to…

  • complete Master Gardener Certification Training and,
  • complete approved community volunteer and continuing education requirements in 1 year.

To maintain that certification, you must complete approved community volunteer and continuing education requirements yearly thereafter.

There will not be a Master Gardener Certification Training Class in 2019.

For more information, please contact Kate Whitney, County Extension Agent Horticulture for Williamson County, klwhitney@ag.tamu.edu  or the Williamson County Agrilife web site, https://williamson.agrilife.org.

There will continue to be monthly meetings free to the public on a wide variety of gardening topics the 2nd Monday of each month.  In addition, there will be Hands on in the Garden training the last Saturday of each month that is also free to the public.  Additional presentations on gardening topics open to the public will be presented at different locations in Williamson County.

For more information on Monthly Meetings, Hands on in the Garden training and presentation in the community, check the Williamson County Agrilife web site, https://williamson.agrilife.org for dates and times.
