Cenizo – Native Silver Sage– This species of purple sage is adapted to the coast. One of the more familiar native plants, it is very hardy in well-drained soil and full sun, it resists freezing. Lovely lavender flowers cover the plant after a barometric pressure change brought on by rain.

Barbados Cherry – Manzanita – Attractive evergreen shrub 4 to 6 feet. Clusters of pink flowers March to October producing fruit. Highest Vitamin C of any fruit, it requires native bees to set fruit. Shade to full sun, medium to well drainage.
