Culture
Yellow Pear Tomato is an indeterminate, heirloom variety that produces an endless supply of small tomatoes throughout the entire growing season. Plants are heavily vining and can grow as large as 8′ tall. Yellow Pear Tomato produces small, yellow fruits that have a tangy, almost citrus flavor. Fruits are shaped like a pear with a thin neck and bulb at the bottom. Yellow Pear tomatoes grow in huge clusters and will continue to produce through the heat of summer.
Tomatoes can produce heavy fruits and will require some form of support to keep the plant upright. This ensures that plants and fruits stay off the ground, reducing the possibility of disease and keeping fruits clean.
Noteworthy Characteristics
This extremely old variety makes a vigorous plant that bears enormous numbers of bright yellow, bite-sized fruit. The flavor is deliciously tangy.
