Culture

Celebration Tomato is a hybrid, disease-resistant tomato variety with high vigor and exceptional flavor. This tomato variety provides outstanding flavor combined with commercial-grade production. Plants have a determinate growth habit which will produce a large number of tomatoes in the spring to summer production window. Fruits are large, globe-shaped and slightly flattened. Tomatoes will be bright red and average 8 ounces at full maturity. This variety is also resistant to cracking which makes it a great choice for backyard gardeners and small-scale market farmers. Celebration Tomato is noted to be drought and heat-tolerant and will produce well into the warmer months in most regions.

Tomatoes can produce heavy fruits and will require some form of support to keep the plant upright. This ensures that plants and fruits stay off the ground, reducing the possibility of disease and keeping fruits clean.

Noteworthy Characteristics

Improved Celebrity variety.  Celebration has all the great traits of the old favorite, Celebrity, including attractive 8-oz. crack free fruit, drought and disease resistance, great flavor, and huge yields. Gurney’s Seed & Nursery Company says Celebration “Performed better than Celebrity in our 2014 tomato trials and is adaptable to most areas of the country.”
