Culture

Golden Thryallis (Galphimia glauca), also known as Shower-of-Gold, is a delightful evergreen shrub that graces gardens with its abundant yellow, star-shaped flowers.  Golden Thryallis thrives in full sun. While it can tolerate shady areas, it truly shines when basking in ample sunlight.  Avoid overwatering, as excessive moisture can lead to disease and root rot.  Selective or light pruning can be done throughout the growing season.  After the blooming season, trim back your Thryallis to encourage fresh growth and more dazzling flowers in spring.

Noteworthy Characteristics

Golden Thryallis golden blooms will continue to shower your garden with brilliance, adding cheer and beauty year-round.  Butterflies constantly flock to the flowers of this plant.  Their fluttering presence adds a touch of magic to your garden.  The pretty flowers of thryallis attract a variety of pollinators. The flowers are sweet-scented but not overwhelming, even when blooming en masse.

Problems

No Serious insect or disease problems.

Garden Uses

Golden Thryallis stands out in flower beds and complements other garden plants beautifully.  When planted in masses, golden showers create an eye-catching display.  They are also commonly used as border plants.
