Compost Demonstration Site

Compost Demonstration Site

Compost Demonstration Site

The Compost Demonstration Site is located at the Cameron County Master Gardener Arboretum at the corner of Expressway 77 and Wilson Road in San Benito. It is a self-guided demonstration of how-to compost in your own back yard. Information on five different compost bins is given. Printed compost bin plans and how-to literature is available to take home. It can also be downloaded from the “Education” area of this website.

The Compost Demonstration Site was constructed in part with grants from the Lower Rio Grande Valley Development Council in cooperation with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and Texas Agri-Life Extension Service.
