Monthly Seminar – Hummingbirds

Hummingbirds

We are kicking off our 2020 Gardening in Bell County evening classes with our 2018 Master gardener graduate Juan Anava presenting “Hummingbirds” Thursday evening, January 16 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Texas A&M Bell County AgriLife Building located at 1605 North Main Street, Belton, TX 76513. Juan is a very talented award winning photographer who has provided many of his pictures to our newsletter which he takes in his backyard where he has a hummingbird sanctuary.He will discuss plants for attracting as well as how to care for and attract these birds as well as butterflies. Juan is an active member of our Bell County Master Gardeners and helps with landscape improvement projects and pots plants for our plant sales at Wright’s Nursery.

BCMGA is pleased to offer monthly seminars for Central Texas Gardeners presented by Certified Bell County Master Gardeners on a variety of gardening topics from landscaping to irrigation to controlling pests and much more. Seminars are free but a $5 donation is accepted. You can register at [email protected] or if a BCMG in VMS. Early registration is suggested due to limit of 45 for classroom. Snacks and drawings for prizes are planned.

These classes are open to the public. Most classes are held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Texas A&M Bell County AgriLife Building located at 1605 North Main Street, Belton, TX 76513
