Rain Water Harvesting/Collection – Workshop

March 28, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Cancelled, may be rescheduled. Saturday, March 28th, 9am to Noon at the
BCMGA Learning Center, 1605 N. Main St. Belton, Texas 76513

Learn how to harvest/collect rain water that can be saved and later used in your garden. The workshop teaches you how to convert a 55-gallon, food grade, plastic drum into a rain barrel that can be used to harvest rain water from your roof in your own backyard. Use just one or chain them together.

Class fee is $65 and paid in advance, guarantees you a spot (20 spots available) and includes one, 55-gallon, food-grade rain barrel. The workshop covers the setup and how-to of rain harvesting. A hole is drilled and spigot inserted… participants leave with a fully functional, ready to use rain collection barrel. (FYI: A 55-gal rain barrel can fit in the back seat of a Honda Civic.)

Register for the class as soon as possible. Pay by check, make checks out to BCMGA (Bell County Master Gardeners). Stop by the AgriLife Extension office to pay in person or mail your check to BCMGA c/o AgriLife Extension Office, 1605 N. Main St. #102, Belton, Texas 76513
