Steve and Rachel Glass will be speaking on Backyard Aquaponics Systems. Aquaponics? …is a blending of “aquaculture” and “hydroponics”. Aquaculture broadly refers to the cultivation of aquatic organisms (usually fish) in controlled aquatic environments for any commercial, recreational, or public purpose. Hydroponics is the process of growing plants in sand, gravel, or liquid, with added nutrients but without soil. Come learn more Thursday night, August 18, 6:30-8:00 pm.
