History of the Triangle Demonstration Garden

– Cameron’s Triangle Demonstration Garden received 2nd place from the State of Texas in the projects category.

– Texas Parks and Wildlife awarded the title of Wildlife Habitat Demonstration Site to the Wildscape area.

– Luminant donated two large pieces of petrified wood to enhance the Wildscape

– A granite marker donated by Luckey Monuments was installed on the eastern corner, identifying the garden as being a Little River Basin Master Gardener project.

– The gazebo was added to enhance the beauty of the garden, but it was hardly a banner year as lighting had to be installed to deter vandalism and a large portion of the garden was taken out by a pickup that crashed through at high speed, destroying the irrigation system, our rainwater collection tank, the hand-built arbor, and the brand new gazebo.

– The LRBMG members completed the restoration of the Triangle Garden from the accident and celebrated our group’s 10th anniversary with a rededication of the garden.
