We Learn. We Teach. We Grow.
McLennan County Master Gardeners are involved in several types of events and projects that are all designed with the mission of educating the public about improving lives through horticulture. We host and sponsor several types of gardening-related programs; we collaborate with area community associations; and we provide speakers for groups interested in gardening topics. We are a horticultural outreach for the McLennan County AgriLife Extension Service, and are at times involved in their hosted activities.
Lunch with the Masters monthly presentations by specialists on gardening topics.
Our semi-monthly booth at the Waco Downtown Farmers Market provides an outreach on a variety of gardening topics to market patrons.
Ongoing projects include demonstration and research gardens and school programs in McLennan County.
Annual events include Master Gardener involvement either sponsored by Master Gardeners or participation by invitation.
Our public, monthly e-newsletter “Let’s Grow” also offers timely tips, too.
