Q: I have grassburs very bad this year what can I put on them now to stop them from coming back next year?
A: Grassburs are warm-season annual weeds. At this time there is nothing that you can put on the area now that will stop the return next year, the best that you can do is to use a pre-emergent product next year. It will need to be applied at least two times during the season. One application needs to be done in the spring during March or April and another in June or July. The product will need to be watered into the area thoroughly; you cannot put it out and leave it or put it out before a rain and hope that it receives enough water. If you are unable to apply water to the area then I really do not have an answer for you.
