Tarrant County Trees and Tree Care Virtual Course Begins

Tarrant County Master Gardener Association is offering an advanced training course on Trees and Tree Care open to all MGs across the state.  Each local association is allowed three participants. Upon completion of the virtual classes via Zoom  on three consecutive Fridays — February 12, 19, 26 — participants will be expected to do 20 hours of education-related activities, make presentations, conduct youth and community education programs, be an MG resource for interns and MG classes, etc. Upon completion, you will receive certification as an Advanced Master Gardener in Trees and Tree Care.

The classes will be taught by professional arborists and extension service specialists and direction will be given on ways that your training can be used for the community and youth. Attached is the registration form with more information on registration, class topics and presenters.  Registration deadline is Feb. 5 and registration form and fee must be received together.  If an association exceeds the three-person limit, there will be a waiting list.

The registration form is also available at the Tarrant County MGA web site https://www.tarrantmg.org/mg_training.htm and is supposed to be available at the Texas MGA website. at some point.
