Habitat for Humanity Workday

With the virus and Mother Nature we have had a difficult season getting our work done at the Habitat for Humanity homes.  However, we are hoping get 2 gardens completed this coming week.  We apologize for the short notice, but hope you can help us out.

We need some strong backs on Thursday, 10/22, at 1 p.m. at  701 West Munson Street in Denison. We have killed the grass and need to remove weeds and dead grass and prep the beds for the foundation shrubs and the Butterfly Garden.  We will have a tiller, so it might not be too bad and we will be soaking the ground for several days prior, so keep your fingers crossed!  If we are not too whipped, will try to install the edging and till in the compost for the Butterfly Garden after we loosen the soil.

Then on Saturday, 10/24, we will be planting!

At 9:30 a.m., we will be replanting the Butterfly Garden at 320 West Jones Street in Sherman.  Please bring tools to weed and dig holes.

After a break for lunch, then at 1 p.m., we will be planting the shrubs and Butterfly Garden at 701 West Munson Street in Denison.   Again, please bring tools to weed and dig holes.

We are asking everyone to wear masks, since it will be difficult to social distance.

Please let one of us know if you can help and when, we will need you!  We have enough hours for everyone!
