Learn to collect and store rainwater. Fannin County Master Gardeners are hosting a make-and-take seminar on rainwater harvesting practices and ways to incorporate rainwater collection into your residential landscaping. Following the program given by Extension Program Specialist Dean Minchillo, participants will make a rain barrel for their own use. Participants need to bring their own non-metal container which will hold between 30 and 55 gallons. Trash cans should not have wheels. The program is limited to 30 participants. Registration is $40 which includes everything to complete your rain barrel plus handouts on a thumb drive. The fee is non-refundable, but, if unable to attend, participants will be able to pick up their materials from the Extension office. The seminar will be on Friday, June 24, from 8:30 to 12:30 at the Darrell Hall Education Center, 2505 N. Center Street, Bonham.
