2026 EVENTS CALENDAR

Don’t miss ART IN THE GARDEN–an exciting and creative time to create art using flowers.  Join us on the following days: 

20 March – Acrylic painting–Demonstration Garden behind TX A&M Forest Service (S.E. Loop 256) in Jacksonville from 12 – 1PM. 

24 April – Watercolor – Demonstration Garden behind the TX A&M Forest Service in Jacksonville from 12 – 1PM.

15 May – Gel Prints – TX A&M Extension Office Classroom, located at 165 East 6th Street, Rusk from 12- 1PM.

To ensure everyone has what they need to be creative, please RSVP by calling the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension office at 903-683-5416.

14 March— 16th Annual Spring Conference – 1PM – 4:15PM (registration starts at noon). Located at the First Christian Church/1920 Beaumont St. Jacksonville TX.  $20 per person.  This year’s speakers are:  Mr. Truman Lamb, TX A&M AgriLife Extension Agent, Anderson County and Mr. Reuben Gay, Biologist with TX Parks & Wildlife
11 April—Spring Plant Sale 8AM – 2PM at the Ruth Bowling Nichols Arboretum located at 1015 S.E. Loop 256 in Jacksonville TX.
26 September –Fall Plant Sale 8AM – 2PM at the Ruth Bowling Nichols Arboretum located at 1015 S.E. Loop 256 in Jacksonville TX.
Scarecrow Trail Opens 17 October and runs until 31 October located at the Ruth Bowling Nichols Arboretum located at 1015 S.E. Loop 256 in Jacksonville TX
Okay, since you have your calendars open–go ahead and flip to 2027 and mark 5 Feb 2027 for our annual Seed Swap and 20 March for our 17th Annual Spring Conference.
