The Waller County Master Gardeners would like to invite the public to our new speaker series. We are calling this series “Lunch & Learn”. Our first presenter will be Mary Karish, a Waller County Master Gardener, speaking about air layering.
Have you ever worried about inadvertently buying diseased fruit trees or wanting to propagate your favorite fruit tree but having trouble finding good rootstock or scions? Air layering is your answer.
There are various ways of propagating fruit trees. In this session, Mary Karish will demonstrate how to air layer, using a branch of a fruit producing tree. She will also discuss selection of good scions and demonstrate cleft propagation as well.
Call 979-826-7651 with questions. The presentation is free and open to the public. A light lunch will be provided, free of charge.
Please RSVP to the AgriLife office or e-mail: wallermgardener2013@gmail.com for lunch count purposes.
