Randall County Master Gardener Association is a non-profit volunteer organization in collaboration with Texas A & M AgriLife Extension. This collaboration provides people in the surrounding area with horticultural education. Master Gardener volunteers are recruited and trained to provide educational service in horticulture and horticultural maintenance. Volunteer service includes, but is not limited to, a speaker’s bureau and establishing and maintaining demonstration gardens.
Yearly class events are also developed for community citizens. Of special interest are the youth education programs that include 4-H, the Junior Master Gardener program, and helping young people develop and maintain school gardens. Randall County Master Gardener members also enjoy working with other gardeners through volunteer service. In addition, there is much pleasure that comes with being able to help Panhandle citizens with questions about all aspects of gardening.
