The Blanco County Master Gardener Association was started in the spring of 1996. Blanco County projects include clearing and planting native plants at the entry to Blanco State Park. Also, several members assist the park service with the ongoing removal of invasive privet in the park. in cooperation with the LBJ National Historical Park, a grass identification area has been installed and bluebonnets have been planted at the Visitor’s Center. Our county is fortunate to be the home of the Blanco State Park, the Pedernales Falls State Park and the Lyndon Baines Johnson National Historical Park.
