Hands On in the Garden: Irrigation – Containers, Ollas, Deep Tree & Shrub Techniques

May 24 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Wondering how you’re going to keep your garden green during our hot summer when it can be so long between rainy days? This month the Williamson County Master Gardeners continue educating on irrigation! Learn about different ways to keep your plants healthy utilizing a variety of irrigation techniques? There is no one size fits all answer to irrigation in our part of the State so let Master Gardeners Jim Williams and Dale Hill teach you about irrigating containers, utilizing ancient techniques such as ollas (or oyas), and deep tree & shrub watering. After our keynote talk, Breakout Session #1 will be “Veggie Garden Pro Tips” from Master Gardeners Jim Williams, Dale Hill and Brad Williams. Breakout Session #2 will have Wizzie Brown, Extension Specialist in IPM presenting “Beneficial Bugs” and Breakout Session #3 will be on “Drip Irrigation” with Master Gardener Ken Whiteside. Dress for the weather for this free outdoor program. Call 512-943-3300 for any more information on this awesome educational gardening program.
