The Bird Area of the Children’s Garden includes our Birdie Townhouses, the Birdhouse Classroom, many plants birds come to for seeds and to find delectable insects. Our signage in the area will help you identify some area birds and some of our insect friends.
Thanks to Cheryl Clark, Bird Area chair.

During our annual Kid’s Camp, the bird area is a great place for our Scavenger Hunt with many colorful flowers that attract hummingbirds, berries that attract birds, and insects birds seek out in the area.
The colorful painted Birdhouse Classroom is often used to plant seeds in seed pots for children to take home. Our master gardeners may choose one of many books to read with the children.
In the Rainbow Circle you find plants that have BLUE flowers.
You can also find the Alphabet stepping stones with animals that start with the letters M-S.
You can just wing it on into the birdhouse, enjoy a special bench to watch for hummers, or watch a garden spider hard at work catching insects. Birds will often come to the bird bath to flutter thru and cool off as it gets a sip!
