🌿 Become a Certified Master Gardener in San Jacinto County! 🌿
Are you passionate about plants and eager to share your knowledge with the community? The San Jacinto County Master Gardener program, in partnership with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, offers a comprehensive training course for individuals interested in horticulture and community service.
Program Highlights:
- Extensive Training: Receive 60 hours of instruction over 12 weeks from Texas A&M professors and Extension specialists, supplemented with local classes.Â
- Volunteer Opportunities: Engage in activities such as maintaining demonstration gardens, responding to gardening inquiries, delivering presentations, teaching youth, assisting in community gardens, and contributing to articles and social media posts.Â
- Certification Requirements: Complete 50 hours of volunteer service to earn the title of Texas Master Gardener. To maintain certification, fulfill annual requirements of 24 volunteer hours and 12 hours of continuing education.Â
