Fruit trees are always a hot topic when master gardeners get together. ISA Certified Arborist Mario Sakran will be assisted by arboricultural advisor Phillip Monterrubio, both from ArborTrue, sharing their passion for trees. They will show us how to select, plant, and care for the best fruit trees for East Texas. You’ll learn about hardiness zones, chill hours, pollination, pest and disease susceptibility, full size and shape, growth rate, soil conditions, climate resilience, age to bear fruit…

Mario Sakran has been with ArborTrue since October 2023. He is the company marketing manager and an arborist. Mario consults directly with clients, analyzing, diagnosing and offering recommendations on the treatment and care of trees.
