North Texas Giving Day

North Texas Giving Day is Communities Foundation of Texas’s largest community event and the largest regional giving initiative in the Nation. Since 2009, over $712 million has been raised for more than 3,600 local nonprofit organizations through a single, easy-to-use online giving site. On NorthTexasGivingDay.org, donors can browse thousands of local nonprofit pages and give to organizations spanning over 30 cause areas, all in one place.

RCMGA has one mission and it’s focused on educating the community about all-things gardening!

We are a volunteer organization of 71 Rockwall County Extension Master Gardeners under the leadership of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. Collectively, our organization volunteers over 7000 hours annually in support of our mission to provide research-based, horticultural education and advice for all the residents of Rockwall County.

Our outreach comes in many forms, from classes and events for people of all ages and abilities, to our widely popular and accessible Ask A Master Gardener Program. Our reach extends even further with the award-winning EnviroSmart newsletter, our ‘Here We Grow’ column in the local Blue Ribbon News and exclusive spotlight articles in area publications and magazines. All of these articles round out our continual drumbeat of timely, horticultural content written by Master Gardeners specifically for Rockwall County.

In total, the impact of RCMGA is far-reaching –– touching many of our residents multiple times for an estimated 600,000 contacts annually. This organization is committed to continually evolving to extend the best in horticultural knowledge throughout the community.
