We had our initial meeting with the Elementary School Principal, Dr. Rhianna Flores and Saarah Sales, prospective JMG Program Coordinator. We have met several more time and are negotiating aa Memorandum of Understanding to establish and launch the JMG Program for the 2025-2026 school year.
The students at School of Science and Technology spent the first hour of Monday’s session developing their presentations for the next week’s Chapter 1 Certificate and Pin ceremony. They then went out to the future garden area to develop a layout plan by taking measurements during the second hour.
For both activities the two teachers, Sarah Sales and Kayla Lopez, divided the students into teams of two and three which they provided guidance and oversight.
The students were highly motivated and excited. They were studiously engaged in both hands-on activities.
