Jan has been a certified Texas Master Gardener and an active member of Central Texas Master Gardeners Association from June 2003 until the present time but is unable to continue to fulfill the recertification requirements due to her health issues. During her years of membership, she provided over 705 hours of volunteer service and earned over 364 hours of continuing education, almost always in excess of the minimum requirements.
Jan has served as Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Director of CTMGA. She successfully led several committees, the most recent being Bring Back the Monarchs to Texas, which involved writing grants, planning and overseeing the demonstration garden, and securing the Monarch Waystation designation for the garden. She was always willing to help with any and all CTMGA endeavors and is still willing to participate when able.
