This honor is being bestowed upon James Robeson because of his past leadership and service to the Leon County Master Gardener program. As an Emeritus Master Gardener, there are certain privileges awarded to Mr. Robeson. Even after his passing, he will always hold the Emeritus Master Gardener status in honor of his invaluable contribution to the association.
The Leon County Master Gardener program would not be where it is today without James’ past leadership. He was instrumental in guiding and maintaining the local program through vacancies within the Leon County AgriLife Extension Office. He was also instrumental in overseeing numerous volunteer projects which helped to increase the visibility of the Leon County Master Gardener program, especially during the early years of the Association. These are just a few of the many tasks that the Executive Board considered when they bestowed the Emeritus status on Mr. Robeson.
This is our way of thanking Mr. Robeson for his dedicated service to the Leon County Master Gardener program. Since taking the class in 2005, James had been a valuable member to the Leon County Master Gardener program. On behalf of the Leon County Master Gardener Executive Board and membership, we commemorate James Robeson with this honor!
