Healing Herbs Presentation Given
Image of Kylie McFall, Herbalist

by Lydia Holley                                     September 9, 2024

Henderson County Master Gardener Association (HCMGA) will host Kylie McFall, Certified Clinical Herbalist and Health Nutritionist at AudaciousHerb.com on Tuesday, September 17, 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Cain Center YMCA, 915 S. Palestine, Athens. This presentation is free and open to the public. This is part of HCMGA’s “Let’s Grow” series.

McFall has been a holistic practitioner for six years. She started her interest in helping others with medicinal herbs after a personal journey of healing. She suffered from multiple sclerosis, Graves disease, severe anxiety, and PTSD. Desperate for healing, she turned to medicinal herbs. Now she is passionate about teaching others about herbs and their healing properties.

Come learn about various herbs and the specific diseases they may help with during the presentation. Many of these herbs you can grow yourself. Some you may already have in your garden. Learn how to use them correctly, which you should ingest, which you should not, how to make a poultice, how often these herbs can be used, in what amounts, and which ones may be dangerous.

To park at the Cain Center, please enter at the lower level off Loyola Drive. Take the elevator or stairs to the Civic Hall Meeting Room. HCMGA’s “Let’s Grow” series is a series of monthly presentations on various gardening subjects given by Master Gardeners or other experts. HCMGA is a non-profit 501(c)-3 organization with a mission of educating the public on horticultural subjects. HCMGA and the Herb Society of America, Inc. does not advise or recommend herbs for medicinal or health use. The information in this presentation is intended for educational purposes only and should not be considered as a recommendation or an endorsement of any particular medicine or health treatment. Please consult a health care provider before pursing any herbal treatments.
