Culture

SunPatiens® Compact Coral Pink (Impatiens x hybrida) is a delightful annual plant that combines fancy aesthetics with low-maintenance ease. The blooms appear from mid-spring to early fall.  Large, vibrant coral pink flowers adorn the Compact Coral Pink SunPatiens®.  These blooms contrast beautifully against the dark green foliage of the plants, providing a striking contract to the large, coral-pink flowers.   The leaves remain dark green throughout the growing season. These plants are heat-tolerant, making them ideal for warm climates. You won’t need to fuss over removing spent flowers; they keep blooming without it. Their strong scent repels deer away. They exhibit resistance to common impatiens diseases, such as downy mildew, reducing the need for chemical interventions.  These plants are self-cleaning, meaning they shed spent blooms naturally, eliminating the need for deadheading.

Noteworthy Characteristics

Unlike traditional New Guinea impatiens which need protection from full sun, SunPatiens® Series impatiens were developed to thrive, as the series name suggests, in full sun. They also thrive in hot and humid summer climates. Full shade should be avoided. Celebrated for its vibrant coral-pink blooms and robust performance in various garden settings.  Sunpatiens® Compact Coral Pink is celebrated for its vibrant coral-pink blooms and robust performance in various garden settings, making it a great choice for your garden or patio. These robust plants thrive in full sun or shade, even in challenging weather conditions. Sunpatiens® produce larger flowers, creating a showy, striking massive color display in summer flower beds. They are hardy plants that establish quickly, with strong roots and vigorous growth.

Problems

Spider mites and thrips are the primary pests attracted to Impatiens.
