Culture

Fan Flower ‘Topaz Pink’, commonly known as Scaevola, Fan Flower or Fairy Fan Flower, is a delightful warm-weather perennial or small shrub. It is a tender, trailing, evergreen perennial, often grown as an annual making it an excellent choice for regions with warm summers.  Scaevola® has oval or lance-shaped leaves.  In hot, humid climates, it produces a nearly non-stop display of dark blue fan-shaped flowers from early summer until frost. Its thick stems make it drought-tolerant even in triple-digit temperatures.

Noteworthy Characteristics

Fan Flower ‘Topaz Pink’ is a low-maintenance performer that adds a touch of beauty to your garden or containers. Whether you choose the classic blue or explore the pink varieties, these fan-shaped blooms are sure to delight!  It features spoon-shaped, toothed, dark green leaves and fan-shaped, pink flowers that bloom from summer into fall.  Scaevola® doesn’t require much pinching or fertilizing. It’s generally low maintenance as long as it receives warmth, sunshine, and occasional watering. It’s an important nectar source for butterflies.

Problems

 Scaevola is generally tough and resilient, with few serious issues.

Garden Uses

Fan Flower Topez Pink work well as bedding plants or planted along retaining walls, where they can cascade over the edge.  Containers and hanging baskets.  Note: Patented Plant PP#19729: Propagation Restrictions Apply.
