TITLE: Earth-Kind Gardening®

DESCRIPTION: Learn how to create a thriving garden and landscape using Earth-Kind® gardening techniques. This research-based approach, developed by Texas A&M, merges traditional and organic methods to create beautiful, low-maintenance landscapes. These landscapes protect the environment by conserving water and energy, reducing chemical use (pesticides/fertilizers), and minimizing waste. This method focuses on building healthy soil with compost and mulch, selecting appropriate plants, and using natural pest control to create a sustainable system for long-term enjoyment and environmental responsibility.

SPEAKER:  Lake Granbury Master Gardener Debra Cook has taken the Earth-Kind Gardening Advanced Training and is working on her Earth-Kind Gardening specialist designation.
