Meet Texas A&M AgriLife Extension experts from Horticulture, 4-H & Youth Development, Family & Community Health, Agriculture & Natural Resources, Coastal & Marine Resources, along with the Galveston Bay Area Chapter Master Naturalists.

Join Galveston County Master Gardeners Donna Merritt, Briana Etie, and the Herb Team for the 1st Annual Herb Day in the Garden, a celebration of the beauty, versatility, and everyday benefits of herbs at the Discovery Garden. Enjoy engaging presentations, hands-on activities, and garden experiences designed to inspire gardeners and herb enthusiasts of all skill levels.

Enjoy a Day of:

  • Learning how to harvest, dry, and store herbs
  • Exploring the Discovery Garden Herb Garden
  • Creating a handcrafted herbal project
  • Discovering the benefits of aromatherapy
  • Sampling herbal treats and refreshing beverages
  • Shopping the Herb Plant & Handmade Herbal Products Sale

Whether you’re growing herbs for cooking, wellness, fragrance, or creativity, you’ll leave with practical ideas, new inspiration, and a deeper appreciation for these remarkable plants. Herb Day is more than just a gardening event—it’s an opportunity to learn, create, connect, and be inspired.

Fee: $40

Workshop is limited to 30 participants. You must pre-register to participate.
