Vegetable Garden Series: Onions and Garlic 2024

Nature’s Good Guys: Beneficial Insects

Galveston County Master Gardener and Entomology Specialist Hedy Wolpa will present information and photos on the beneficial insects we can attract to our gardens and landscaped yards to help increase flower and vegetable productions and decrease the presence of insect pests. She’ll also talk about supporting insect native habitats and life cycles using biological control methods and fewer harmful chemicals.

It’s spring and that means working in your yard and garden. That also means that you are probably looking for new plants. We have spring vegetables and herbs, perennials and plants grown at home by Galveston County Master Gardeners. Tomatoes, huge assortment of hot and sweet peppers, including blackberries (Ouachita and PrimeArk Freedom), Texas Everbearing figs and Cara Cara oranges. Compost, fertilizer and tomato cages to boot!

Fairy Garden Workshop 2024

Spark your child’s imagination and learn to build your own Fairy Garden. Fairy gardens nurture creativity and make direct connections to our natural world. We will supply materials to make your garden fairy feel right at home. Registration fee is $25; sign up on the form below to save your place in the workshop. You will be sent a link no later than one week prior to the class to make online payment.

  • NOTE:
    • Workshop is limited to 24 participates = 12 pairs (1 adult and 1 child)
    • Limiting registration for children age 6 to 12 years old
    • You must pre-register in order to attend.

*Cancellation requests made 24 hours in advance of time of event will receive refund minus Square fees. No refunds for cancellations less than 24 hours from time of event.
